Graham,

You do have a knack for finding interesting water fleas. Nice shots.

What condenser arrangement are you using for darkfield with these relatively large subjects and low power objectives? The light on the subjects looks very even. I've yet to come up with a good 2X-4X darkfield with my Olympus.

Hi Charlie - the condenser is a Zeiss 0.9 NA fliptop with the top flipped out and a large wheelstop (19 mm dia patch) in the filter holder. As usual, the specimens were treated with lidocaine to immobilise them.
