These Nuclearia (??) must have attended too many Memorial Day cookouts. I tried to get a stack, but was stymied by their rapid opening and closing of vacuoles and changing filopodia, and also my not-yet-working flash integration. I've included 3 shots of one of the Nuclearia so that you can see the changing filopods and vacuoles. The last image shows another with both a recently ingested fragment of Anabaena and a partially digested green algae fragment. These are fairly long exposures using Nikon "mirror-up" mode to minimize shutter shake, I have to get flash working to really get things sharper. 40X / 0.85 NA using DIC through Variozoom eyepiece and homebrew 0.32X converging lens adapter to D300. As always, please correct my taxonomic error(s), I think these key out to Nuclearia, but not to any degree of certainty.
