Simple alga "abstract"

Post by Charles Krebs »

I often find these small "clumps" of alga growing on decaying grasses in one of the ponds that I sample. (At one time I did know the name... but have forgotten it  ) It is a very attractive subject under the microscope.

Very nice, I have photographed it too recently. It gives a nice optical section. Isn't it Chaetophora?

And I forgot to react on your amoeba. The movies works well on the Mac.

all the best from the Netherlands, Wim
