In just 1 drop of water from a tiny trickle of water leaving a sports field.

included a few of these rotifers:

Haven't seen any parameciums in my aquarium since late last fall, when I had fresh river water. Diatoms either, but I got some of those in my recent river and puddle samples. I have a nice little year round running creek very near here, but I can't get down to it easily. I'd love to test some of that. :)
