Paramecium bursaria.... (quite a "hairy one" you've got here! :wink: )

They have a symbiotic alga (Zoochlorella) that lives inside the cell.

(once again, a favorite subject around these parts... search in both the current and "old" forums)

Thanks Charles, its a shame there is no way to make a visual thumbnail key to all of the species captured in this community. Like a visual search engine.
