That's a lot of euglena. I wonder what draws them to the amoeba. Maybe the amoebe is like a flower and attracts them with smell or something similar.

This is probably Polychaos dubium, a common species. You have to see the nucleus to be sure.
The Euglena are attracted by the light-beam of the microscope, not by the amoeba. Euglena are green plants, they need light to make food.
