Nicely seen, nicely shot!

I am intrigued by how large the outline of the hatched rotifer is, compared to the outline of the egg. Is this just a matter of the rotifer "spreading its wings", so to speak? Or does the rotifer actually increase in volume, say by absorbing water after hatching?

Thanks for your messaage. She was full sized as soon as she "stretched" out. I don't think there was time for any absorption process to take place.
