Sometimes you can find these chrysophytes in larger number. The sample could be flatter but when you flatten them too much you don't see the flagella.

I've never seen flagella of synura :shock: .

Thank you! To see the flagella you have to use a contrast enhancing technique such as phase contrast or DIC. But with oblique illumination it should also possisible to see the flagella.
