In appearance, this rotifer recalls an accordion
Belongs to the genus Encentrum, predator capture clips envaginables
Size approx. 190um

Hello Francisco,
a very interesting rotifer! I found similar ones several times identifying them as Taphrocampa annulosa. But I did'nt look for the zoochlorelles, so I mixed them up possibly. By the way, "Taphrocampa saund." has been used as a synonyme for this Encentrum - a rather tricky case...

Interesting Rotifer. It looks like you can actually see his eyes.

I did not know the rotifer Taphrocampa, seeing pictures in Google images would not know whether it is Taphorocampa or Encentrum. Are very similar.
Mitch thanks for your comment. If it appears that in one scene you see something that look like eyes.
