I still have images from 5 years ago that need to be retouched (from sensor dust) and they need some color and contrast correction. This is a sequence from 2008 of shelled amoebas .

It is fun to let your imagination go. Are these 2 Arcellas communicating using their pseudopodia? It does remind me of the movie Close encounters.

I guess it is the end of fission since one of the shells is brand new. I was too late for the actual cell division.

Beautiful images. Maybe one forgot a piece of luggage, or it's the farewell handshake before they split up? :)

Reminds me of my mom when I left for bootcamp. She just didn't want to let go. LOL

It does remind me of the movie Close encounters.
Yes. Funny how so many things observed in the microscope makes one think of imaginary outer space creations and movies.

As usual, beautifully photographed.
