Another Hydra - Darkfield Video

Post by Mitch640 »

This video shows a Hydra in Darkfield using 10x, 4x and 2x power objectives on a Nikon Fluophot microscope. More of a test to see how the camera would shoot video in Darkfield.

My Darkfield filter is a dime placed on the top glass of the condenser, below the flip out lens. As you see, it works at least as good as those filters costing a dollar or more. ;)

Here's the video. It's 12 minutes long, but still interesting.

Thanks Francisco. :)

I am still shopping around for a CCD camera to use with the Fluophot. I believe your videos show much more color and detail than mine do using the Canon T1i.

I am looking for one that will do 1280 wide HD at a decent frame rate. Has to be CCD though, not CMOS. ;)
