Ken - I'm slightly confused (nay, puzzled :) ) by these mag. figs you've quoted.

First I should say that what I know about microscopy could be written on the (edge of the) smallest microdot - and still leave room for LOTR trilogy :)

Are you taking pics thro' the eyepiece or some sort of other intermediate optics or what?

Sorry for such a basic Q - but after seeing what you guys are upto I've just weakened and bought a (used) mic to 'have a play' as well - whilst the gdn. wildlife is having a kip.

puzzledpaul asked (even more puzzled now it seems) :

Here is my set up. I am shooting through a Zeiss P1 10X/18 eyepiece mounted in the photo tube, using an Orion SteadyPix camera adapter (approx. $38.00US for that adapter from Orion Telescopes). :D

Bill D. By the use of a beam splitter, you could use this same type of set up on your scope also. :D

<< seeing some new images ... >>

Hopefully ... gotta find somewhere to put it first, where there's enough room and it (+cam mount etc) won't get disturbed - prob new yr - and don't hold your breath re decent pix :)

It's an Olympus BH (not a -2!) with BHB stage, trinoc. hd. - so if anyone knows any good sources of info (drgs / parts list / service manual etc) I'd appreciate being informed. (I've been trawling, but much is about the -2)
(Maybe post in a new thread, so's not to disrupt Ken's any more?)

Thanks
PP

The cable with the red tage is the external power cable and the one behind the camera is the USB 2.0/Video download cable. The later is not connected until the images are ready to be downloaded to the computer. :D
