The family of the Araceae is very interesting for various raisons (ex. gr. thermogenesis, attraction by scent and trap mechanisms).
Arisarum vulgare is flowering now here ( good pictures about this plant, for example in http://www.west-crete.com/flowers/arisarum_vulgare.htm ).
Inside in its spath there are overlapping epithelian cells and if a flie is walking on it, it will slide down, be in prison for a certain time and pollinate the flower.
I made impressions with a colourless nail varnish (from inside the spathe) and photographed them.
