Another excellent video Francisco. He looks quite dangerous and very alien. Your video imaging is beautiful, showing great detail.

Yet another very interesting video, Francisco. I'm puzzled about what the Didinium is doing. Perhaps it is in a resting phase between meals. It almost appears to be filter-feeding, but I don't think these are capable of that. I've not had the opportunity to observe this protozoa directly; so, I can only go on what I've read and seen pictured.

I found it amusing that another spinning protozoa, Urocentrum, put in a brief appearance alongside the Didinium. (At least, I think that might have been Urocentrum.)

Thanks again for sharing what you find.

John

Thanks Mitch and John
Mitch, it is indeed dangerous, but only for ciliates, especially Paramecium
Jhon, Didinium is a large predator capable of pulling a paramecium, it's very fast without to scroll through what I think would be resting
Indeed, the other is a Urocemtrum turbo ciliate, ciliated also very fast.
In my opinion Didinium is faster, almost like Fernando Alonso in F1
