A Water Flea - Gammarus Shrimp

This little guy was very hard to catch. Big jar, small pipette.

Mitch,

I think what you have here is a Gammarus, a small freshwater amphipod.

Thanks Charles. It's really helpful when you experts point me in the right direction. With that name, and Google, I have found descriptions and images that match this guy and it seems to be a Gammarus Shrimp. There are a bunch of them in my jar, but they sure are hard to catch. He was alive in these pics, probably because I used a slide with a depression, and even then, the cover slip held him in place.
