living Radiolaria: Diploconus sp. (Acantharea)

This is Diploconus (probably D. fasces) from the Acantharea- Radiolaria. It is still living.
Very interesting is the drawing about this protozoon from Ernst Haeckel (1834-1919) - the famous biologist: ( http://caliban.mpiz-koeln.mpg.de/haecke ... fel_20.jpg ).
