I found this yellow ladybug on a dried leaf on the ground. I took few photographs with my macro lens and in the pictures I saw that it's eating some aphids. But something felt wrong: ladybug was not moving at all, it looked like it's a Pompei-like scene, ladybug is frozen while eating aphids.
I took the leaf under my microscope. It turned out t be that he ladybug is dead and the small insects (I no longer think that they are aphids) are eating it. Small ones are alive but they barely move; thus I was able to run this focus stack.
4x objective, Canon 7D, Canon 430EX II flash, ping pong ball diffuser, Zerene Stacker.
