Fir

Post by Ecki »

Hallo,

these are the first shots with my new Nikon D700. I am amazed, how big the difference to my D5000 is. This cut is from a twig of a fir tree in front of our house.

Hi Eckhard--

Really beautiful cross-sections. I just converted from a point-and-shoot to my D300 and the smaller pixel size and improved number of pixels does make a very observable improvement in the micrographs. I assume you are using your usual trichrome stain combination?

yes, this is my usual and favorite trichrome stain.
