arturo,
Nicely done! Heliozoans like this are so magnificent to see. Don't count on my identiification (

) but my guess would be Raphidophrys (possibly Raphidophrys intermedia or Raphidiophrys elegans).
When I need to adjust the DIC so that the axopodia become clear, it often becomes difficult to avoid overexposing a portion of the "body" of the organism. Since these subjects move so slowly it is sometimes possible to take the best overall exposure, and then quickly take a second exposure a couple of stops darker. The overexposed portion can then be replaced by the section from the darker exposure.
