I'm really new to macro..please be gentle
this was one of my first macro pics...I didnt record the info like shutter iso ect but will in future http://mysite.orange.co.uk/daveputty/index.html[/img]

Hi Dave -- welcome aboard!
It's a nice picture. There are couple of glitches in your posting technique, though. (That's why MacroLuv is having trouble.)
The glitches are:
1. The [img] tag has to refer *directly* to an image file, not to an html file that *indirectly* references an image file. Yours should read
[img]http://mysite.orange.co.uk/daveputty/DSC_0176.JPG[/img]
2. Images that are referenced by [img] can be no larger than 800 pixels in the longest dimension (forum policy). At the moment, yours is 1504.
If you make a smaller version of the image, you can edit your post to refer to it using [img]. Then your picture will show up embedded in the posting like you've seen in most of the gallery posts.
Some people also upload a larger version of their picture, and link to that also, using [url]. That way their posting immediately shows the 800-pixel version, but the interested viewer can easily get to the larger one.
That's a nice touch if the larger version shows much more detail than one resized to 800.
We're looking forward to more pictures!

We have a great bunch of people here and I know you will enjoy posting your pictures here. Make yourself at home. Do not worry about your mistakes, I did the same thing with my first post also. Like Rik said just resize your picture first, than you can use the upload picture button in the New topic Post window or link to it at a different location. Please feel free to ask if you need any help at all. It is a great looking flower shot Dave & very nice dewdrops also
