Snowflake - Close Up!!!

Post by crocoite »

Hi all

Remember a couple of weeks back - 34 degrees C and bushfires...

Well , tonight we have snow flurries! And it's trying very hard to settle. Could be a white one in the morning (not good for number one son who is working till 11pm tonight and may not get home!).

Anyway, I took a few shots of the snow. One of them, with flash on, captured an individual snowflake. This is a crop of about 25% of the original and the snowflake is not totally in focus, but a rare one to get! Second image shows the snow falling (again with flash).

 It must be spring on south hemisphere. Right? Seems your winter is very durable as our summer. :D (Or your location is high over sea level.)

You are quite right Nikola. It is Spring. Well, it's supposed to be anyway...

Yep, we are going to count on you Steve to supply us with summer & bug pictures for the next 5 months  Nice shots, I will have to try that with our snow.
