'Red' Garden Spider

Post by Cyclops »

I wa about to leave the shed last night and this caught my eye hanging near the window.
Its a garden spider(Araneus diadematus) and shes a beauty, possibly gravid too!

Image

I had to climb on top of the freezer and push my loupe into her web then hold the camera roughly over where the image formed! She hardly moved!
