Post by crocoite »

Seeing as it's schnoz week in the microscope gallery (well it could be)...

schnoz definition...

NOUN: Slang. The structure on the human face that contains the nostrils and organs of smell and forms the beginning of the respiratory tract: nose, proboscis. Informal : beak, snoot. Slang : nozzle, schnozzle, snout.

Thank you Ken (I think!). In defence, I have to say that such a close-up photo makes it look bigger than it is. Yeah, really. Honest.

 Hmmm... moustache, ... spectacles... Well, Steve, you authorised this photo and it is nice of you. Otherwise I could think it's Ken's. (Just kidding, no intention to offend anyone) :D Don't ask me to post mine. I don't want to win a schnozzle contest. I like you folks... you... you... mischief makers.

Now that you brought that up... I have wondered, from time to time, when I have encountered a mass of the little creatures, if inhaling the massive amounts of spores released by them could result in the germination of a few? Imagine "hocking up" a plasmodium. My apologies for being so gross but it is a thought. :-k
