The tree of Life

Post by beetleman »

These pictures are from the same tree I pass going to work. This tree (a Mountain Ash) is the woolly aphid tree, the shelf mushroom tree and the lichen tree. Here are two more shot from the tree of life. The fungi are the same ones I shot in this post 20 days ago (middle pic)

and just another lichen shot taken after a nice rainy day and all the colors are vivid. Unfortunately the tree is on its last legs, but even in its final days, life will flourish on it until it decays and returns back to the soil from which it first grew as a seed.

I have three loups, they are all Hastings Triplets. Amazing what one can see throught them and I have been able to photograph through the 7X loupe with a small digital camera, from time to time. :D
