I uncovered the bodies of the adults (and they were bodies) on the tree and took some shots of what I thought might be eggs underneath, but the picture showed otherwise. Alot of the young ones fell away when I moved the pile of wings around. I guess the dead adults were forming a shelter over the eggs until they hatched.
Not that clear a shot. The wind was blowing 20mph gusts and the adult wings were blowing everywhere as well as the young ones.
Would you just look at all those lichens around there Doug? Great follow up image.
