Small Parasitic Wasp

Post by beetleman »

It was a little cold up here in the North Country 45 degrees this morning. This little guy was sitting on a leaf all nice and cold...didn`t move for 1/2 hour. Tonight we might get our first frost of the fall

It is a bit nippy here too; or at least it seems that way, but I spent the last two weeks in GA where it was nice and hot :D

Yes, I did, but not macro  Worked on my images for my lightening and Portraiture class. I had my sister pose in this "southern bell" hat I got at a consignment shop down in Savannah  Well, I think I might have had a weak moment and got a couple of butterflies :smt045

Yeah Doug its in the 40's down here too, don't cha just love it! :o Soon there will be frost on the pumpkin, the leaves will be arrayed in glorious fall colors, all the fodder will be in shocks and the "Great Pumpkin" will rise from his patch to bring macro lenses and camera bodies to all the good little macro photographers. Don't believe me, just ask Linus.

Naw I really do like autumn. Cool nights with the bedroom window open to let in the fresh cool air, warm quilts to snuggle under, with the stars so bright in the autumn sky at night. I love taking long morning walks in a soft lambs wool sweater and jeans, a thermos mug of fresh hot coffee and just look around at the joys of nature and watching the antics of the squirrles as they hop and jump through the trees and hearing the crunch of the fallen leaves beneath my feet, maybe the distant call of crow echoing through the woodlands in the early morning air.

Yep Yellow Jackets are on the prowl to Doug as probably this wasp looking for a place to winter over. Nice capture Doug, thanks :D

Savannah eh? Was this one of the Radiant Vista http://www.radiantvista.com/ inspirational weekends? They do lots of stuff in Savannah so I'm curious.
