With one wing missing maybe it had no other choice than to hop or it may be that it is instinctive to hop to assist in becoming airborne. Hope it isn't another one of Beetlmans fungi ridden flies. :lol: Nice shot pp :D

Personally, I think it'd just taken delivery of some morphing s/ware to join the rest of the 'legit' hoppers and was still getting used to the action ... but Ken's probably closer to the truth :)

... and no, I hadn't pulled it off to slow it down for photographic purposes
