Photographing minerals inside small cavities in a rock can be quite difficult, particularly if the surrounding rock is light in colour like this one. I was pleased with the outcome. Minerals are hastingsite (thin needles) on ilmenite (bluish crystal). Location is East Trentham, Victoria.

You must have a good eye for spotting these small crystals....this would be a good subject for a Helicon Focus "stack job"
