Backyard Series #37 (narcissistic narcissus)
If you will recall your Greek mythology, Narcissus was a handsome youth who fell in love with his own reflection. Here is my interpretation:


Michael

60mm Nikkor, 105mm VR Nikkor, or 180mm Sigma

Nice sharp picture, well composed, just right on DOF imo...
Personally if I were shooting this subject with the idea of reflection particularly in mind I would maybe have tried to get more of the reflection into the shot, not sure what that would have done to the composition though... Did you try any shots encompassing the whole reflection?

I used a sheet of black acrylic for the reflection--what a dust magnet!Cyclops wrote:a pity about the green stem;unavoidable I suppose. What did you use for the reflective base?
As for the stem... I kind of like it. I feel that it gives a "base" to the flowers.
For those who find the stem distracting, it is easily removed.
