Bugs are under the snow. More minerals

Post by bill henderson »

It was snowing today all over the Metroplex, so I went back to my mineral collection for more fun stuff. All photos were stacked with Helicon Focus. Rasberry Garnet and Wulfinite were taken with 70mm Macro with 5T nikon close up filter. The Zircon with Zeiss 40mm Luminar Obj. I hope you enjoy. Bill

The first two were found with a silver pick(mineral show),the zircon belongs to the mine owner in Arkansas.

Bill, did you get to go to The gem & mineral show in Tucson? I know somebody said they were going. My old boss used to go every year and spend $50,000.00 on Rocks & minerals and beads for the science & nature store. He always left me to work the store while he was gone for three weeks buying. The raspberry garnet is beautiful (all three pictures are great).

Some really nice images here Bill, though the last seems to have a slight depth of field problem. :D

Gees, you are good at these Bill. My wife is a mad rock and mineral collector and she is going to love these

All the best Bill, nice work and shots.

Danny.
Worry about the image that comes out of the box, rather than the box itself.
