The macro world turned inside out

Post by Danny »

"Come into my parlour said the fly to the spider"

When the macro world is twisted and the fly takes revenge. Could be interesting to watch.

All the best and oh yeah, you can blame Rik if you see these pop up now and again

Danny.

Very cool, Danny! :D I'll take a bit of guilt about these any day.

For those of us who are less artistically talented and skilled, can you say a few words about how this image was put together?

The matting looks flawless!

Aww yeah sorry Rik. :D

Always use Photoimpact for these. So 3 shots with the crane fly and background being the main, mirrored, top, bottom, left and right. Carefully cut around the spider shot at a high zoom ratio with PI. Same with the fly. Added the spider to the shot, added the large centre bubble and finally added the fly and drop to the top.

Heck, clear as mud huh. :D

All the best and thanks M8t.

I have an old version of PI but seldom have I sit down with the program and the "book" to try and see what all it can do. Great image there Danny and the spider...well, poor thing  :D
