Actually, so far I found five (kind/color/species?) of Praying Mantis. :D Elongated dry-grass yellow (1), brown (2), khaki (3), green (4) and gray (5). But I'm doubting if 2 to 5 are of the same species but different ground color adaptation. :-k  :smt044

Well Nikola, all I can say is you do have the luck of the Praying Mantis on your side when it comes to finding them...and then taking great pictures of them :smt023

Great capture, these insects are amazing looking. I have yet to see any Praying Mantis with my own eyes, and they don't live here up north. Well maybe I've seen one in a zoo some time, not sure.

Maybe I should visit Croatia and enjoy these creatures in the future :D

cheers
Erland

Well, Erland, if you want to make really great photographs you must visit Croatia. 8) Let me tell you just one curious fact. On one croatian isle alone (one of more then thousand croatian isles!) there are more different plants then on the entire territory of England! During the last glacial period (ice age), which ended about 10 000 years ago, here was resort (shelter) for many fauna and flora species because most of Europe was covered by ice. So it has sense to say that origins of many today europian plants are from here. :D
Here is one more photograph of this beauty just to fuel your imagination. :D
