Hope no one offended.

Not to pick on Nikola, but this is getting on dangerous ground.MacroLuv wrote:...but who can see it more clear...
Pointing out our collective ignorance and laughing about how little we understand seems safe enough.
But drifting off into "this position is better than that position" invites pointless conflict.
Perhaps we should get back on photography.

Hi Nikola,
I was reluctant to reply to responses to my earlier post because it would inevitably lead to areas of discussion beyond the general scope of the forum; but it has concerned and bothered me that you may have personally taken some offence, given your comments with regard to the Magnolia - this was never my intention and you have graciously shown with beautiful innocence that this has not been the case.
I made mention of Mary E White's book, and if anyone had done a Google search for its title "The Greening of Gondwana" they would have been confronted with the word Evolution, so I needed or was prompted to make clear my standpoint (perspective) with regard to that 'idea'.
Michigan Michael: I can qualify the statement that has you 'mystified'; but again it is beyond the scope of this forum, just as Rik has clearly demonstrated - some things are beyond the scope of our finite minds.
What the Bleep Do We (k)now!?
However, we do have capacities that extend beyond our physical being and it is in this area we need to cultivate or explore knowledge if we are to comprehend the Infinite. On a scientific front Quantum has recognized as much and as a natural consequence has exposed the inadequacy of 'materialism' of which theories such as Evolution are part thereof; but here again, we could wander into serious error - if we don't have the Key.
I'll leave you to seek out and explore Blaise Pascal's definition of the 'Key'.
"The Weight of Glory", by C.S.Lewis follows on from that, and from there, the Way forward is clear...
