Helmeted Squash Bug

Found this guy out in the garden--Helmeted Squash Bug--Euthochtha galeator . The hind legs were the most interesting part on the bug so I took the shot from a back angle. Sorry, He must have his Helmet off

Colours matching. Hmmm.. kind of liquid down guy's back?

Hi Nikola, Like stink bugs, Helmeted Squash Bugs are able to exude foul-smelling, foul-tasting fluids from their bodies. This one did stink when I picked it up.

Are you sure the liquid is from the back? Judging by the position of the liquid/insect, it could be from, errrrr, just about anywhere...

Nice flower, nice colors... thouhgt it was nectar... but can't all be perfect.
