Backyard Series #32

Post by Michigan Michael »

I had a chance (job) recently to photograph several small pieces of Murano glass jewelry. The glass is imported from near Venice, Italy. Here are 3 samples:

Beautiful :D Italy is known for some interesting art work, been there many times in my travels, though Venice was not one of the places visited. Good photos there Michael :D

You did very well on these Michael. I worked in a bead store and I know how hard it is to take pictures of glass and swarovski crystals. Italy has been producing glass artwork for centuries

Thanks, Doug and Ken.
I was asked by a local jewelry company to do some product shots for their web site. They let me use their "light box" which was a
MK Photo eBox Plus. It has soft light on 3 sides and the bottom. You can see it here:

A little pricey, but it does work very nicely. I found the glass to be interesting, so when I finished their work I took the above close-ups for myself.

Very cool! I visited Venice about 18 months ago, and spent a few hours on Murano, though I didn't bring back any glass.
