bugs from today Canon 40D MP-E at 3X

a 4 eyed ant (something going on here)

WOW, that glass is working great. great focus & details on the ant heads and the hairy springtail is excellent.

Doug, congrats on the new 40D!!! It is an awesome piece of equipment.

Macroman, still doing nice work with the MP-E-65. To me, the ant seems to have the normal quota of two eyes. I do think I see a bump about the left (for the ant) eye that looks like a bump rather than an eye to me. Am I missing something?

thanks guys ,the ants eye as you look at the top in middle there is dip as if there 2 side by side and over lapped

Some great high magnification photos. I love the focus on the 1st one, shows how thin DOF is too.
