Lovely picture Jim, but you're cropping the images a little too tight in from the sides for me. I think cropping off the dead space under the flower improves it though. I would like to see a little more "breathing space" around the image at the sides. All a matter of personal taste, as where to crop is always a matter of opinion.

What caused all the out of focus highlights in the background? I can't quite decide if they are "gallstones" due to out of focus highlights recorded by a conventional lens, or "doughnuts" produced by a mirror lens because some almost seem to be a ring shaped?

Great image anyway.

Thanks for commenting Dave,, this image is uncropped,, I do know what youre saying,, usually I like some "breathing space" as well,, the out of focus backround was due to a chatahoochee stone patio,, there was several flowers in a planter over a stone patio,,, thanks again for commenting

Could be you are a bit too close in for Daves tastes and he would like to see a bit more area or space around the butterfly but as Dave wrote, it is all a matter of taste or preference, nothing serious here I think. :-k As for myself, I like it and the background as well, along with the flowers, it makes for a very color contrasting image Jim. Nice shot in my opinion. :D

Next "belly button" please...

I don't blame them...winter is always lousy in my opinion, though it does have one or two positive things like cuddling up with some nice hot chocolate in front of a fire. :D .....prefrably with someone special. :D At least your summer lasts longer than those people further north.

If you give half a dozen people the same picture to crop they all will crop it differently!
