A Peacock's Eye

Post by georgedingwall »

Hi all,

That's a Peacock Butterfly's Eye.

The eye is a stack of 30 frames. The second image shows the whole butterfly.

Bye for now.

Thanks for the comments.

I've no Idea why any of them have hair on their eyes. Maybe it's to let them know they are touching something or perhaps the shadows cast by them tell them where the sun is or how about a filter system to prevent pollen settling on the surface of the eye.

I've tried searching on the web for an answer, but it's difficult to know what the question should be.

One of life's little mysteries. :?

Bye foe r now.
