Long awaited first flight

Post by cactuspic »

About 5 years ago I got a 3 inch starter bird of paradise plant. While the plant is still a bit scraggly and will need a few years to fill out, it took its first flight and flowered. I wasn't too excited.(right.) A perfect way to end the old and start the new.

For everyone who read this, Happy New Year, hope you enjoy, and thanks for viewing.

Thanks Jordan. I just came back from Santa Monica where they were blooming in full force. I have had the plant 5 or so years. I assume it was a year old or so when I got it but I cant be sure.

Like a piece of modern art - elegant form and delicately subtle colours. A lovely photo Irwin.

Happy New Year

Thank you Bruce. Hope you have a great New Year too. If anyone asks, please let them know that my computer is going into the shop(again) to have its hard drive replaced. Hopefully this will cure the problems I have been having. Luckily none of my images are impacted except its hard to post when you don't have a working computer.
