Well lets see...tomorrow is Christmas Eve, Santa will probably bring me a lump of coal for my stocking. Everyone is getting new cameras and whatnot. I guess I will hold out for the new Dodge Challanger with 425 horses. :-k Nice dragon flies there Doug, I just live from photo to photo, don't have much saved up. :lol:

Very nice photos Doug.

Dragon flies were rather scarce around my place this past summer. Did see a bunch while in British Columbia in September, but none where they could be photographed.

Excellent shots. 1st 2 are female Eastern Amberwing Perithemis tenera; not 100% certain of the 3rd but believe it's a female Carolina Saddlebags Tramea carolina.

Lovely dragonflies.
To me the 3rd look like a female Darter (Sympetrum sp), but the hind wings are very broad, so a Tramea species it may be. I have no books where I can check right now :lol:

With so many encounters with Sympetrums this year even to me the third one looks very sympetrish. :lol:
