Bugs on a wild flower

This is a tiny flower maybe 1/2 - 3/4 inches across. I think they are some kind of bees?

Look like bees of some kind. If they are what we call "sweat bees," the pack a real whallop for their size.

It look like this is nomia amabilis which is one of the sweat bees you suggested Ken. Thanks for guiding me to the identification.

LOL!! You are right about that Doug. I am quite enjoying this macro / close up photography and am so glad I was introduced into this "small" world.
