What Is This?

It was huge. Must have been 3 inches long. Looks a lot like a housefly. If it is, it came from a very BIG house.....

I don't have macro stuff yet, so this isn't a great shot. It's more for ID than artistic merit.

That looks like a Cicade (spelling right ?) of some kind. We dn't have them where I live, but I photographed one in Texas a couple of years ago.

They are big and they will land on you and you will know when they do
