This captive water snake is preparing to molt, so his eyes are covered with translucent scales. This at least gives him a small excuse for laying his head on the turtle's butt!

EOS 40D and 50mm macro lens. Converted to B&W due to bland colors.

Very nice in B&W. It reminds me of those pictures you see with some kind of motivational caption on them.
