Beautifully exposed and good detail too. I always find yellow just the most difficult colour to capture without either blowing the highlights or making it look drab and lacklustre - in this instance the G7 has done a worthy job in your capable hands.
Oh... have just bought a Canon A650 (with £40 Canon cash-back) although still pricey by US standards.
Looks like some form of ragwort to me. Similar to my UK one on the front page this month, but your US one has more notches on the petal ends, multi-serrate!
I'd call it a dandelion, but really I know NUTHINK about things that don't have a pulse. I claimed I knew nothing about Joan's pic also, I guess I'm getting dumber and dumber lately!

Thanks Mike Yes the G7 is still performing well and proving its worth as being a very handy little camera for those spur of the moment shots or for use on long hiking trips.
