Well guys, you gave me a lot to think about. I am going slow on this item and I will have to find a place that has them all so I can check them out. The camera will probably be the easiest item to pick out. Than I will have to pick out some lenses

. I will have the general lens that comes with the camera, than I want a nice general zoom (Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens)
and then I have to pick a macro lens That I will be happy with because I will be so broke that I won`t be buying anything else for it for a long time

I look at the specs on all the posts and they make my head spin with all the different gear there is out there. Time to do my homework. Thanks again for all the info you guys pass out

You need not have "the lens that comes with the camera" if it is of little use to you. You can buy the camera body only and look for the best deal on the lens you want. I bought both my camera and it's macro lens new on the Internet and saved a few hundred Pounds doing so. I got my camera body from the dealer with the best price, and got my macro lens from another dealer offering the best price for the lens. Both way below high street dealers price.

You may find the dealer that will do you the best price on the body will try and make up their profit by charging more for the lens and vice versa, so buy individually from the dealers that give you the best deal.

Though it is rather dubious practice, many people these days inspect the goods in a photo store to see what suits them, and then buy much cheaper over the internet when they know what they want.
