Rainy Day Ambush

Post by Ken Ramos »

Image
Ambush Bug
EOS 350D (Digital Rebel XT)
1/200 sec. @ f/4.5 ISO 100
Canon 430EX Speedlite (-1/3)
Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro

It looks a little sad, maybe because it has been raining on it, as it waits for a hapless insect to come by for dinner. It's raining today so I have to get out and shoot between thunderstorms. :D

It's an Ambush Bug, head on. That thing that looks like a racing helmet is its powerful forelegs for grasping it prey, while it gorges itself on the succulent, tender, and juicy morsels of insect flesh that it so wontingly devours and savors. =P~

A very poetic discription Ken. At least you are not using science terms like Attenuated, Denticulated, Emarginated, Lanceolated, Pictinated, and Stridulate  . Good capture Ken.
