Actually my G7 is for back up and for taking into those places where it would not be very practical for me to take a dSLR, though there are a few hearty and adventurous souls that would take their cameras anywhere and some often do by trade or out of necessity. The new flash grip or bracket that I have recently acquired also makes carrying a dSLR a bit more comfortable now too, now that I have something more substantial than the camera body to hang on to and not having the camera hanging around my neck like an albatross. :D

I saw the pictures you posted of your grip and thought it to be quite cumbersome, but I for one would rather stick to my SLR if I had the choice. Fixed lenses have only so much versatility.

Beautifully composed - stunning form and colours. IMO this one needs to be seen at poster size to really appreciate it as a work of art.

Thanks Bruce, however, I would have liked to have had a much lighter background. :D

I think the bright center brings your eye right over to that corner and you don`t even notice the dark BG IMO (until you mentioned it  ). Mine just "Bit the Dust" with the hard frost Monday
