Two Just For Fun

Post by beetleman »

The first one is a picture of Buttons on the saddlebag of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle. The second one I call..."I am not going out in that cold snowy weather". "OOPS" Rik has reminded me that I must state that picture #2 has been enhanced through digital means to "way beyond its` natural state". I used PSP to layer and cut the insect onto another picture looking out my window on a snowy winter morning.

I love Number 2! :D

But I'll also remind everybody that we do have a posting guideline about this sort of thing -- any enhancements that alter the "naturalness" of the subject must be declared in the image post. 8)

Whats so unnatural, Florida has cockroaches that would beat this guy up. You know pic 2 reminds me of an old movie I saw many a year ago, entitled "The Helstrom Chronicles," sci-fi based on fact that insects could indeed take over the world. :D

Some creative thinking there Doug - in both shots. My preference is pic1 - it's cleverly done and it's fun too. Of course the same could be said for pic2 - and an interesting NH winter street scene.

Well done, Doug! I hadn´t read the text at first and thought the Cicindela beetle was a lifelike model backlit in a shop window! You fooled me with this one, and you really know how to use your software!

Actually, there seem to be two beetles on your photo.
The other new beetle I think I can identify in the background was not created by evolution though, but by VW instead. :D (Or is it an Asiatic copycat that is mimicking VW  )

Best wishes,
Betty
