Tiger Beetle

This is a fairly commom Tiger beetle found around here. Spotted quite a few where I used to work in the summer. Dry sandy areas next to forests and dirt logging roads. Cicindela duodecimguttata (I think)

Must have been having a rough time of it, its eye looks dented in. I don't see many of these things. Maybe I am just not looking. Good shot there Doug.
