In my last post I showed the spinnerets and silk tubes of a true web-building spider, subfamily Araneinae. There are some silk tubes are exposed in the upper image, and both show significant detail of the musculature of the spinneret structure. There was some transparent fluid present on the lower subject. My apologies for the lint in the upper image.

The bottom subject is Argiope Bruennch while the top subject is Argiope aurantia Lucus, better known as a garden spider.

There are some differences between the three subjects and even more to the crab spider.

Really showing some amazing detail - lighting and exposure is excellent.

Great follow-up post.

Really excellent stacks Walt. A very interesting subject to look at. Lots of detail and lots of WOW factor. I always find the hidden structures in the pictures very fasinating.
